In 2004, Anthony upgraded to Captain on the ERJ-145 and later transitioned to the Embraer 170, where he continued his career as a Captain. Over the course of his career, he has gained extensive experience across multiple aircraft and operational roles within the Republic family of airlines.

Anthony has held a variety of positions focused on training, operational standards, and pilot development, including Ground Instructor, Line Check Airman, Proficiency Check Airman, and Aircrew Program Designee (APD).

Safety and standards

Anthony’s career has included a longstanding focus on aviation safety and voluntary safety programs. In 2003, while serving as a First Officer representative on the Executive Board, he became a founding advocate for bringing the Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) to Chautauqua Airlines.

Union leadership

Anthony’s union leadership includes serving as a First Officer representative on the Chautauqua Airlines Executive Board for 3 years and as the current Republic Local 357 President. In these roles, he developed experience representing pilots, working with management, addressing operational and contractual issues, and building consensus on matters affecting pilot careers and working conditions.

As the current Union President, Anthony brings proven experience leading a pilot group, communicating directly with members, managing complex issues, and effectively advocating for pilots. His record of leadership has prepared him to take on the role of Vice President and the greater responsibilities that come with it.

Anthony is committed to bringing greater attention to the issues facing pilots today, defending and protecting our contract, and ensuring our members have a strong voice when decisions affecting their careers are being made. He believes effective representation requires leadership that is prepared to stand up, speak out, and follow through.

As Vice President, Anthony will build on his experience and continue fighting for our pilots, protecting the rights we have earned, addressing the challenges ahead, and making sure our members' concerns are heard, taken seriously, and acted upon.

Anthony is also committed to continuing to build productive relationships with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 135, NATCA, TWU, CAPA, and airline unions across the industry. These relationships help strengthen cooperation among labor groups, promote shared safety and professional standards, and ensure that pilots' voices are represented throughout the aviation industry.

This perspective will help strengthen representation, protect professional standards, and prepare the pilot group for the challenges ahead.

Education

Anthony holds both an associate degree and a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University. His education, combined with more than two decades of professional aviation experience, has provided a foundation for his work in aviation, safety, training, and labor representation.

Personal

Anthony is the father of four and enjoys traveling with his family, experiencing cultures around the world, and gaining a deeper understanding of the people and communities he visits. He comes from an Italian family and enjoys cooking, especially sharing time in the kitchen with his wife.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Anthony is actively involved in church events and community activities that bring people together and support local organizations. He values opportunities to connect the aviation industry with the broader community, including participating in events that introduce students and families to aviation careers and the many pathways available within the industry. He also believes in building strong relationships among churches, schools, community groups, and aviation professionals through collaboration, education, and service.
