The election

How to vote.

Teamsters Local 357 Executive Board election. Ballots are returned by U.S. mail, and the return deadline has been extended to November 5, 2026.

The Executive Board has extended the ballot return deadline. All ballots must now be received by YES Elections by Thursday, November 5, 2026, and the tally has moved to Friday, November 6, 2026. The extension applies to every member, whether you received an original ballot or a replacement.

The Local notified members on October 28 that the deadline had moved, after several members reported never receiving replacement ballots they had requested. The Election Supervisor began an investigation with YES Elections and sent out additional replacement ballots by expedited delivery.

Ballots were mailed on October 1, 2026. It is important to make sure the union has your correct mailing address on file, so please use the union app to update your information as soon as possible. Ballots must be returned by U.S. mail, so give yourself plenty of time to send your ballot and make sure it arrives before the cutoff date.

Key dates

  • October 1, 2026 — ballots mailed
  • November 5, 2026 — completed ballots must be received by YES Elections. Not postmarked — received
  • November 6, 2026 — ballots counted

The election is run through YES Elections. Your ballot comes with a postage-paid envelope addressed to IBT Local 357 2026, PO Box 448, Mineola, NY 11501-9988. Ballots are collected from the Post Office when the election closes, so anything arriving after the cutoff is not counted.

The Local’s notice gives the date but not a cutoff time. Treat November 5 as the last day your ballot can arrive, and post it well before then.

Still no ballot?

Email membership@local357.org or call the Local at (317) 644-1405. The Board has directed that replacement ballots go to every member who requested one, including members who never reported that the first replacement failed to arrive.

Do this now

Check the address the union has for you, in the Local 357 app. A ballot that goes to an old address is a vote nobody gets to cast. It takes a minute and it is the one part of this that is entirely in your hands.
