Ben Miller

Ben Miller is a proud Republic Airways pilot, hired in 2006 and based out of Indianapolis (IND), where he lives with his family. A native of Indiana, Ben has spent his entire career and life rooted in the community he serves.

Ben brings deep operational and technical expertise to the table:

• Line Check Airman since 2019, mentoring and evaluating fellow pilots to uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
• Type-rated on the Embraer 145, giving him firsthand knowledge of the aircraft and route structure that defines much of Republic’s operation.
• Scheduling Committee member from 2010 to 2025, a 15-year commitment that gave him an intimate understanding of the pairing, bidding, and scheduling issues that affect every pilot’s quality of life.

Since 2024, Ben has served as a Trustee on the current Executive Board, where he has acted as liaison to the Pro Standards and Hotels committees. In these roles, he has worked to protect pilots’ professional reputations and ensure the union holds the company accountable for the rest and living conditions pilots depend on between flights.

Ben is joining this slate because he is, above all, pro pilot. His nearly two decades of frontline experience, combined with hands-on committee work spanning scheduling, professional standards, and hotel accommodations, have shown him exactly where the union can fight harder for its members. He believes in leadership built on lived experience, not just titles, and he’s ready to bring that same commitment to a broader role.

When he’s not in the cockpit or in committee meetings, Ben cherishes time with his kids and heads out for a day of fishing whenever he can. Grounded in his Indiana roots and driven by a genuine dedication to his fellow pilots, Ben Miller is ready to keep fighting for the crews who keep Republic flying.
